Welcome to
"Becuz Soranu Said So!", the official data bank on the subject of, well, me. Soranu. Loyal folks, be prepared to read your eyeballs out! >D
According to a recent poll, basically
none of you can say that you know very much about me at all. (And, it's not your fault, either. I just don't talk about myself much, and I rarely get the chance to talk with each of you one-on-one. D: ) So, with that said, I release unto thee this primer on the subject of
Soranu!

List of F.A.Q.s(Some of which have already been answered above)What programs do you use?For my graphic editing and CGing, I use Adobe Photoshop CS2. For any animated images like avatars and whatnots, I use Photoshops complementary program, ImageReady. (I think its called Adobe ImageReady CS2, as well.) And, for any HTML and CSS coding, I either use Notepad or Coda. (Codas only for Macs I think.)
What hardware do you use?I use a Wacom Intuous 3, 6 x 8 tablet. My computer is a little white 13 MacBook that I got back in 06 that runs OS X Tiger. My own head is also some serious hardware.
What helps you draw?To be honest, Ive found that inspiration is the #1 most important thing. Without that, my efforts are futile, really. (Because, its kind of hard to draw something that you cant even see in your own mind. xD)
For me, music is integral to the drawing process, too. Well, most of the time, anyway. Not just any music, though; I tend to match up what Im listening to with the feelings depicted in what Im drawing. (What kind of music? Id recommend thumbing through some film score albums, since thats what I tend to gravitate towards while sketching. Music with lyrics is good, too, though.)
Love for the subject that Im drawing. Theres really not much to say about that one, except that, as everyone knows, when you really are passionate about something, you tend to do a better job. (So, for me, those would be subjects like Arabian horses, Yuugiou, Kingdom Hearts, and other such things.)
How did you learn how to draw?Ive been sketching, doodling, drawing since I found me some good inspiration. (Which was the movie Cats Dont Dance that came out back in 97, I believe. Ive also always had a love for horses since a very young age.) So, for most of my memorable life, Ive been subconsciously practicing. And, as time passed, I got more of a hang of how things are supposed to look, you could say.
No, no, I mean your Yuugiou stuff... howd you learn to draw that?If I could count all the screenshots of all the various characters Ive studied for over four years now, you wouldnt believe it.
I learned how to draw Yuugi and the gang by simply using references. After a while, I could kind of take flight and not have to use them anymore, and draw from memory instead.
References are great. Using them in the beginning stages of your study will help you to memorize all of the quirky angles, eye shapes, and hair styles surprisingly quickly. (And, take my word for it, the Yuugiou style is far from the norm. If you have trouble with it, dont worry. 99.9999999% of the artistic community have no idea how to even think about going about it. xD Its
very different. I mean, really. Its taken me
four years to get to the halfway mark of truly understanding it!
WHY Ive invested all this time in studying an art style that has a limited chance of enhancing my life, I DO NOT KNOW. Its just fun, I guess.)
I didnt need to know all that... Will YOU teach me how to draw?On any subject that youd consider me qualified to give you advice about, Id be happy to tell you what I know and how I think I could help you. Otherwise, I cant magically turn you into the artist youve always wanted to be, because that parts in your hands.
But, yeah, Id definitely be willing to help you out on your quest... just note me with a request for my time in advance so I can prepare advice. xD
Using references is cheating!And
now youve automatically cheated on
every test youve ever taken in your life, because, if you even had a hope of passing, you wouldve used references of some kind or another in order to prepare for it at some point.
Tracing is cheating, young kumquat. Dont let anyone ever convince you that using references is bad. We
all learn from them in every aspect of life, ultimately. :3
You didnt answer my questshun.Well, thats not a question. It demands no answer.
But, if theres something you wanted to know and I didnt say nuthin about it, just NOTE me! :3^.< F U N S T U F F ^.~Various, interesting facts...1 I think raptors are cool.
