... So I'm posting today!

I'm wishing you the typical and expected "HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY" today, because doing that tomorrow would just be... boring.
To make things a little interesting, though, I shall share my thoughts with you all about Valentine's Day.
What Valentine's Day is really about to Soranu...
To me, Valentine's Day is
not a day that's merely on the calendar to remind us to be extra lovey-dovey to our special someone. It is
not a day that should be defined by how much chocolate you are given, how many roses make it to your door or to your desk, or even whether or not you have a mate to share it with. Valentine's Day should
not be a day to dread for whatever reason out of the many that you may resent it. It
is a day, though, that we should evaluate ourselves and evaluate how we love
everyone around us. It
is a day to go that extra mile to help someone out that everyone else is ignoring, even though it may require some sacrifice. Remember: if you don't have someone to share Valentine's Day with, chances are very high that most of the people you see tomorrow don't, either. So, brighten someone's day with a smile in the least, and be kind to everyone with every opportunity you have.

And, for those of us who
are lucky enough to have someone to share Valentine's Day with, here is a word of advice: just because the calendar says, "Today is Valentine's Day!" and the television is showing you all of the merchandise you can buy that will impress your mate, you can give without love and everything will be in vain. Chocolate doesn't last long, as everyone knows, and flowers fade and die within a week or two, but words will stay in someone's heart forever. Buy what you will, as gifts only display more affection, but do something unique, too. Hand draw a card, write a short (or long, whichever you prefer) poem or prose. Look unwaveringly into your mate's eyes and tell him or her something timeless that you thought up yourself in order to show him or her how much you care and how grateful you are.
All of you in love, remember this: never think that Valentine's Day is your excuse to be "extra" romantic. Be that way every day of the year! Just because February 14th has rolled around does
not mean that you have to increase the love for 24 hours. Every day should be just as wonderful and romantic.

I hope that opened some eyes to realize that there's so much more to Valentine's Day than what the television and radio say. I want you all to have a great day tomorrow! I love you all!
